Kim Kardashian wants the internet to stop wondering how she gets it all done, so she is finally answering.

UPDATE, the paraxanthine-powered energy brand she co-founded, released its first omni-channel campaign grounded by a digital-first hero film starring Kardashian.

The film answers the question fans have asked online for years, "How does Kim Kardashian get it all done?"

It sets up UPDATE's next chapter of growth and Kardashian's expanded co-founder role at the company.

"For me it comes down to being intentional about what I put into my body and my day," she said in a press release.

"That's actually a big part of why UPDATE resonated with me in the first place. It helps me stay focused, balanced, and present, no matter what my schedule looks like."

The campaign came from branded content studio OBB Bolded, directed by Daniel Sachon and executive produced by Michael D. Ratner, Scott Ratner, and Leonor Castro.

Kardashian took an active hand in shaping the film, telling PEOPLE that the team enjoyed sprinkling in fun easter eggs, some humor, and a bit of a wink.

Kardashian also described herself as more of a routine person than people might expect.

She credits small daily habits, like how she starts her morning and what she reaches for during the day, for keeping her on track.

This detail is important for the brand, because UPDATE's entire pitch depends on positioning its paraxanthine formula as steady, all-day energy instead of a quick jolt.

The timing also lines up with UPDATE's biggest distribution push yet.

The brand is expanding into 13,000 retail locations nationwide through early Q4, moving its message from screens straight onto store shelves.

A Melrose Lab Gives Fans a Door to Walk Through

To mark its expansion, the brand transformed 8250 Melrose Ave. into the "UPDATE Focus Lab," a physical space designed with the same visual world as the hero film.

OBB Bolded and creative experience studio Blue Revolver executed the pop-up, giving fans their first chance to experience the brand in person.

Visitors to the Focus Lab can pick up exclusive merch, enter limited giveaways, snap photos, and sample the product throughout the afternoon of July 26.

The retail expansion and the West Hollywood activation work together seamlessly.

One is building national shelf presence, and the other is building a highly shareable location that the brand can point cameras and influencers at.

It's a familiar move in celebrity marketing, using a founder's personal story to soften a much bigger distribution push happening behind the scenes.

The campaign also continues momentum from UPDATE's rollout into more than 4,000 Walmart stores earlier this year.

This is when Kardashian formally stepped into a co-founder role after two years as a customer.

Every station at the Focus Lab, from the merchandise table to the sampling counter, is timed to the same afternoon window of 12:00 to 5:00 p.m.

This keeps foot traffic concentrated and gives the brand a controlled, camera-ready backdrop for whatever content comes out of it.

UPDATE's Storefront-to-Shelf Strategy

The Focus Lab rollout is an example of how brands use physical space to make a digital campaign feel real.

UPDATE turned a single Los Angeles address into a stand-in for its whole visual identity

Pop-up events deliver a 51% increase in market visibility and a 46% increase in social media engagement.

UPDATE is compressing all of this into one afternoon, so every visit, sample, and photo has to earn its return in a single window.

To the marketers watching how this plays out, a few lessons stand out:

  • Turn distribution news into an experience: 13,000 stores are a supply chain story on its own, and a pop-up gives the expansion a front door.
  • Let the founder's presence do double duty: Kardashian's commentary carries the hero film and the activation's framing, holding one voice across every touchpoint.
  • Treat the space as content: The giveaways and photo moments exist specifically to generate the social posts that carry the campaign past one afternoon.

The strongest part of the Focus Lab is that it doesn't ask people to understand paraxanthine before they walk in.

It just asks them to show up for the moment, and the product story follows once they're inside.

Our Take: Can One Storefront Outshine 13,000 Shelves?

8250 Melrose Ave is one door, and yet it may end up doing more work for this launch than the other 13,000 combined.

A shelf is a fact, but a storefront is a story you can walk into, photograph, and hand off to someone else.

What strikes us here is the gamble that a single afternoon can generate more believable proof of "founder energy" than any distribution chart.

If the Focus Lab outlasts its own opening day online, UPDATE will have learned something a lot of beverage brands never test.

And that's how sometimes, the smallest footprint is the loudest one.

Brands planning a retail relaunch often work with partners that can clarify positioning before shelf pressure sets in.
