KFC Canada is adding a musical twist to its holiday traditions with the launch of Kentucky Fried Carols, a playable vinyl record made from its iconic bucket lid.
The limited-edition vinyl record features four remixed Christmas classics, blending holiday cheer with the sounds of KFC's kitchen.
Created in collaboration with advertising agency Courage, the record also showcases the Colonel’s musical history, which includes holiday songs from the 1960s.

The vinyl is part of KFC Canada's broader holiday campaign, which includes the Festive Feast and Festive Chicken Sandwich.
The activation launched on December 5 and highlights the brand’s ability to combine food, music, and tradition, further cementing its presence in Canadian holiday celebrations.
The campaign will also feature social media content and giveaways of the limited-edition vinyl, highlighting the advertising agency’s innovative approach to content marketing.

"KFCarols Holiday Bucket Vinyl" begins with a bucket of chicken, its lid removed and placed on a vinyl record player — and it amazingly plays a classic Christmas song.
The video showcases the custom-pressed bucket lids, coated with a vinyl layer, featuring the four festive tracks.
These include "We Wish You a Merry Christmas," where the sound of herbs and spices mimics a shaker, and "Deck the Halls," with the sizzle of fry oil echoing cymbals.

The spot concludes with a shot of KFC’s crispy chicken, chicken burger, and other menu items, accompanied by the brand's iconic tagline, “it’s Finger lickin’ good.”
KFC is known for producing limited-edition merchandise that serves to engage fans and widen their brand collection.
The chicken giant reently partnered with Yeye Weller for a limited-edition "Buckets of Joy" chicken bucket and a streetwear-inspired capsule collection featuring Yeye’s signature style.
