Coach takes its latest campaign on the road, with Spotify's in-house agency AUX behind the experience.

"Live Your Story" pairs Coach's fashion with music, live events, artist partnerships, and the Spotify platform.

The global campaign stars Elle Fanning with musicians PinkPantheress, SOYEON, Lilas, and Shan Yichun across four films.

"Music and fashion are both powerful forms of self-expression, which made Coach a natural partner for us," Drew Sanders, global head of AUX, said in a statement.

The Tabby Tour hits college campuses across the U.S., U.K., Japan, and South Korea through early 2027.

Stops will feature live performances, artist conversations, Coach product customization, and local experiences.

The setup gives Spotify an integrated role in the campaign, putting its agency inside the experiential work.

Four Films and Five Special-Edition Tabbys

The campaign starts with four films starring Elle Fanning, PinkPantheress, SOYEON, Lilas, and ShanYichun.

Each musician contributes a song, while 12 Gen Z music fans appear across the films and stills.

The campaign’s hero film puts Fanning behind the wheel of a bus headed to a music festival.

The spot starts with passengers absorbed in their own worlds.

As the featured track plays, their attention moves toward one another and the bus becomes a shared space for music, style, and conversation.

But the Tabby bag is the real star of the tour, with five special-edition versions inspired by each celebrity.

AUX built this edition of the Tabby Tour, a Coach experiential platform that has run before, using the custom Coach x Spotify bus to anchor each stop.

The tour opened on September 16 in New York City.

Visitors can also customize Coach products while concert ticket charms reference keepsakes from live shows.

AUX also supplies the performers, with Tinashe, Rachel Chinouriri, Nxdia, and Fousheé on the campus lineup.

None of them appear in the campaign films, which makes the tour a second talent roster that Coach did not have to cast.

Spotify continues the tour through the Courage Frequency experience.

Users receive one of six Courage Signs based on their listening data, along with a personalized playlist they can save and share.

A live tour tracker lets fans follow the bus as it travels between stops.

China gets a separate execution through QQ Music, which brings curated playlist integrations and original programming to the campaign.

The strategic partnership also includes Bilibili, where Gen Z creators discuss music, style, and self-expression in video podcast episodes.

35% of Tapestry's New Customers Came From Gen Z

Coach's customer growth and Spotify's audience base give the partnership a strong business context.

Parent company Tapestry added approximately 11 million new consumers in fiscal 2026.

About 35% were Gen Z, making younger consumers a significant share of Tapestry's new-customer acquisition.

Coach grew revenue by 24% in fiscal 2026, or 23% in constant currency.

Its handbag average unit retail price increased at a mid-teens rate, while handbag revenue posted strong gains.

Spotify reports 251 million Gen Z users globally, representing half of its listener base.

Gen Z users spend an average of 2.2 hours on Spotify each day.

Coach traced the campaign to a tension that Gen Z described in its own research.

"In our conversations with Gen Z, we heard a powerful tension: they long to spend less time behind screens and connect more deeply in real life."

"But stepping out of digital comfort and into the vulnerability of being fully present takes courage," said Joon Silverstein, Coach CMO.

The data points to a wider change in how platforms can participate in brand campaigns.

  • Gen Z can connect cultural interests with product discovery. Brands should pair products with relevant music experiences to create more reasons to engage.
  • Audience data can personalize participation. Marketers should use listening or behavioral signals to create custom experiences that feel more relevant.
  • Physical experiences can give digital partnerships a tangible role. Brands should connect campaigns to live events to turn online engagement into real-world participation.

Coach’s numbers give the partnership a clear commercial context.

Spotify provides the audience reach and behavior data to move the campaign across digital and physical spaces.

Our Take: Can Spotify's Agency Model Change Brand Partnerships?

AUX sits close to Spotify's artists, music intelligence, and advertising operations.

This gives Coach one partner with access to talent, platform data, content, and physicalexperiences.

We think the model holds where the platform already owns the culture, and music is one of the few categories where that's still true.

The risk is concentration, since a platform-owned agency has obvious incentives to keep the campaign focused on its own channels.

The upside is tighter integration throughout the campaign tour.

Similarly, Disney’s "Camp Rock 3" bus tour with the Jonas Brothers shows how brands can turn a mobile format into a live fan experience.

Coach's partnership suggests the agency role can become another product for media platforms, with experiential work now a part of the commercial package.
